Quick update on our day

It's been a really long day for Jo.  She has had some side effects from the anesthesia and is in a great deal of pain.  She's having trouble resting, and we are trying to manage the pain and nausea.  Please pray that she can get rest tonight.

Update on Surgery:

The surgery went extremely well and was shorter than expected.  Because Jo is teeny tiny, it was much easier for her surgeon to find the lymph nodes and remove them all. She received one drain that we will have to monitor the next few weeks. In addition, the incision was much smaller than expected, the surgeon did not have to go up into the abdomen over top of the ligament.  

We are thankful the surgery went well. Jo has a long road of recovery ahead, she has a large incision with the drain to manage along with all the pain and nausea.  Please continue to pray that she finds rest tonight and that her doctors can figure out the best pain management while keeping her feeling ok.
